My name is Steve, I originate from a humble background, born and raised in South Africa, having lived there my entire life until I relocated to Cardiff Wales about nine years ago due to circumstances.

I have three elder sisters and am the only son. I am very passionate about wildlife and have strong values which I believe in.

 

My writing first began with a poem at the age of nineteen in the middle of a combat zone.

Since then I have written a further six, none of which has been published.

The majority of my career has been 24 years in Retail Management.

 

I have no formal training or experience as a writer but the words come straight from the heart, although the journey of doing so has been a very painful one. Fate dealt me a harsh hand at the worst time, the passing of my Mother which in turn triggered the start of this book. It has taken me a little over two and a half years to complete.

 

My hobbies have varied over the years from: woodworking; building plastic model kits; building and repairing computers to my most enjoyable - learning to play the Acoustic guitar, ending with writing.

 

I am hoping that by sharing my experiences it will provide others that are in a similar position with some comfort knowing they are not alone.
